About the Position Cobham Aviation Services are recruiting for a Maintenance Controller (known internally as a Production Controller) to provide support and control to maintenance programmes and line maintenance activities. Working as part of a wider production control team, you will act as an operational interface between Chief Engineers and other maintenance activity stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to schedule and cost.The role is based at our Bournemouth International Airport site and requires minimal travel. As a Production Controller your skills and qualifications will ideally include Working background as a production controller, maintenance planner or scheduler from a manufacturing/ engineering background (preferably Aerospace).Working background as an Aircraft Engineer/Fitter is also considered for candidates interested to move from an engineering role into production control position. Engineering apprenticeship HNC/HND would be desirable. Strong organisational skills with ability to engage with all levels of an organisation.As a Production Controller your main responsibilities will involve To carry out the production control, planning, expediting activities at CAVS as required by Work Zone Managers. To liaise with CAvS Production control and Base Maintenance in order to maintain an accurate level of understanding with regards to all deliverables and dependencies relevant to the projectDeliver Work packs, kits and spares in line with the requirements of the master input schedule and establish priorities for specific orders. Capture information and data to support the maintenance tasks to assist in establishing priorities, availability of parts, material and equipment. To attend daily progress meetings.Establish an excellent working relationship with Store, Procurement and Part 21 Planning personnel to assist in the delivery of kits parts and tooling. Monitor the progress of orders Report daily on all issues which may lead to Job-Stop situations thereby impacting progress of work and downtime. Appraise engineering personnel of production delays, deal with faults found in orders issued. Update the shortage list per job card and report on a daily basis Assist in the weekly monitoring of KPI s for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
